Stand with me.
Seven years ago I stood on the Philadelphia Art Museum Steps with about 500 other breast cancer survivors for Yoga on the Steps. It was one of the most powerful and moving experiences of my life. The next year there were a thousand people and last year there were over 2-thousand survivors, family members, friends and supporters standing with Living Beyond Breast Cancer.
This event grows every year because everyone who comes experiences this amazing energized and positive force. And who doesn’t need that right now, huh?
If you’ve never done this before, I invite you to experience this FIRST with me Sunday morning, May 21st.
Join me, to show Philadelphia and the world, no one touched by this disease needs to stand alone. We are an army of strength, power, and support.
If you’ve been to Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s Reach and Raise ( aka Yoga on the Steps), you know you’re also helping to make sure anyone who is diagnosed with breast cancer has access to the best resources, information, and support. I’m a board member and I’m so proud of the mission and the work of LBBC.
Not a yogini type?
No worries. No one’s downward dog or warrior pose is worse than mine, but it doesn’t matter. You’ll see women and men of every shape, size, and skill enjoying the camaraderie that comes when we move together.
It’s not a march.
You don’t need signs.
Just bring your body, mind, and spirit.
Bring a yoga mat too.
I’m a 25-year survivor of breast cancer and I know I’m lucky to be breathing.
This is part of the way I celebrate every year. Come celebrate with me and be part of the I Dare Me Damsels team, even if you aren’t a “Damsel” or a girl or woman. (Guys are always welcome!)
That’s my hard sell. Can’t help it. I love this event; my absolute favorite of the year.
May the Firsts be with you,
