Dear Unvaccinated Friends and Colleagues,
I would like to hug you, but I can’t right now.
I would like to invite you over to the house, but I don’t think that’s safe even though I love you and miss you.
I have to tell you, since being fully COVID vaccinated I’ve had an amazing couple weeks hugging my 84 year old mother and 97 year old father in law, my daughter and son in law, seeing dear friends we’ve missed for a year… all vaccinated.
“Reunited and it feels so good”.
I’m back in my office. I’m booking in person speaking engagements again. I’m going to outdoor restaurants.
It feels like life again.
It feels like survival and rebirth.
I know the vaccine isn’t 100%, but it’s pretty darn good. It’s effective enough to go back to life knowing I’ve dramatically reduced my risk of getting or spreading COVID, or dying from it.
And dear friends, I say this sincerely,
if you are unvaccinated, please reconsider, because I’d really like to live in a world where I can hug you again without a mask on.
Do it. Dare yourself,
so we can say, we are doing the best we can to protect ourselves and each other. Dare on and I look forward to hugging you soon!
